Passenger Service Charge (PSC)

From 1 August 2011 the departure fee at Dunedin International Airport will be replaced by a Passenger Service Charge.

Check in

You must have completed check in 30 minutes prior to the departure of domestic flights and 90 minutes before international flights.

Baggage allowances

Your available baggage allowance will depend on your ticket type and the airline you are travelling with. 
For Air New Zealand: Checked in baggage

Freight

Air New Zealand Cargo’s office is adjacent to the check-in desks, at the north end of the terminal. The office can be contacted on 03 488 5834 or 027 291 7020. Visit Air New Zealand Cargo site for more information.

Duty free

There are three duty free stores at Dunedin Airport. One is located in the main terminal building on Level 1, the second is in the international departure area and the third is in the arrivals hall.

Goods may be purchased in advance for collection at the airport by ordering online.

Only passengers with valid tickets may purchase duty free items.

Animals

Animals are not allowed in the terminal building. Exceptions are guide dogs and animals being transported as freight.

Disabled facilities

Dunedin Airport is a breeze for those who are mobility-challenged.
Wheelchairs are available for travellers. Just ask staff at the Information Desk or an airline staff member and they will be more that happy to help.

Lifts operate between all floors.

Disabled toilets can be found inside the ladies’ and men’s toilets on both the ground floor and Level 1.

Dunedin Airport’s friendly customer service staff can help with anything you need to know about the airport. They operate from the Information Desk adjacent to the baggage claim on the ground floor.

They can provide accommodation information, assistance for disabled people, and answer general queries.

First Aid

In the event that medical assistance is required, a first aid room is available on Level 1 next to the parent’s room, adjacent to the escalators. Terminal staff all have basic first aid training and can assist in a medical emergency.
